Offly support

Offly is a free offline music and video player. These notes cover the paths people use most: import, linked folders, Wi-Fi, CarPlay, and Siri.

Add files from this iPhone

Open Offly and tap +. Choose files from the Files app, or pull videos from Photos. They land in On This Device. That room is for copies Offly is keeping on the phone.

Link a folder

Linked Folders is a different room from Files. Point Offly at a folder once, including iCloud Drive. Offly plays those titles where they are. It does not copy the folder onto the device just to show it. If a folder stops resolving, open it in Files, then return to Offly and try the link again.

Wi-Fi transfer from a laptop

Phone and laptop need the same Wi-Fi. Guest networks usually fail. In Offly open Share via Wi-Fi and start sharing. Keep the app in front. Sleeping Offly pauses the page. Open the address in Safari or Chrome, or scan the QR code. Drop audio and video onto the page. You can also build playlists from the laptop keyboard.

Supported drop types include MP3, FLAC, AAC, WAV, M4A, OGG, AIFF, CAF, MP4, MOV, and M4V.

Music app downloads

Songs already downloaded in the Music app on this device can join Offly. This uses local files on the phone. It is not Apple Music streaming inside Offly.

CarPlay

Connect the iPhone to CarPlay and open Offly from the dash. Continue, Library, Playlists, and Favorites are the in-car rooms. If Offly is missing from CarPlay, confirm CarPlay is allowed for Offly in iOS Settings, then reconnect the car.

Siri

Turn Siri on in iOS Settings. Then say “Hey Siri, continue in Offly.” If nothing happens, ask Siri to add Offly shortcuts, or add them from the Shortcuts app. You can play a playlist, play Favorites, Lectures, or In Progress, and set the equalizer from those shortcuts.

Widgets

Touch and hold the Home Screen, tap Edit, then add an Offly widget. Pick a Look and pin a playlist if you want a one-tap start. Widgets follow the Look you set in the app.

Sound

The equalizer is a ten-band DSP with presets. Crossfade blends one title into the next from 1 to 10 seconds. Sleep timer stops after 5, 15, 30, 45, or 60 minutes. HiFi mode uses a music-oriented audio session. Turn the equalizer and crossfade off there if you want the cleanest path.

Still stuck

Open an issue on GitHub with the iOS version, whether the title is imported or linked, and what you expected. For TestFlight builds, include the build number from Settings.
